Today the office of the National Organizing Secretary is conducting a one-day meeting of DP district chairpersons. The meeting is intended to discuss strategies for rebranding the party and repairing the party structures, in this meeting guidelines for refilling the party structures are to be issued. All the party district chairpersons in the region are in attendance. DP has all the district chairpersons in the region except in the newly created cities which are soon to be constructed.

In attendance is the National Chairman Dr Kiwanuka Mayambala Ssempala, the Secretary-General Dr Gerald Siranda Blacks, the National Organizing Secretary Mr Herbert Rutagwera, the National Publicity Secretary Mr Okoler Opio Lo Amanu, the regional Vice President in charge of Eastern Uganda Hon. Sami Gilbert, the Deputy Secretary-General Owek. Christine Kasule Mugerwa, all subregional representatives and the chairpersons.

This meeting held at Palm Hotel in Mbale City has been graced with the presence of the President General of DP Hon. Norbert Mao.
